Fee Structure

At Brabyns Nursery School, our all-year-round nursery provides high-quality early years education and care for children aged 9 months to 4 years.

The Nursery Day

Our full nursery day runs from 7:30am until 6:00pm, providing families with flexibility around their working commitments.

  • Drop-off: Children can arrive anytime between 7:30am and 8:50am.
  • Collection: Children can be collected anytime between 4:00pm and 6:00pm.

Your child’s usual drop-off and collection times will be discussed as part of the admissions process, ensuring we understand your family’s requirements and can provide the best possible routine for your child.

Fee Structure (1st August 2026 – 1st April 2027)

The daily charge is £70 which excludes funding, optional food & non food consumables, additional costs such as trips/workshops and uniform.

Fee & Funding Estimates Breakdown

A Weekly and monthly (4-week month) approximate cost breakdown is provided below, based on number of days and access to 30 hours Working Families Funding and 15 hours Universal Funding Entitlement for children attending Brabyns Nursery.

* Stretched to 22.8 funded hours per week if entitled to working families funding.

**Stretched to 11.4 funded hours per week if entitled to universal funding only.

 Admissions Fees

A £200 admissions fee is required to secure your child’s place.  

Note: this is an administration fee and therefore may not be paid with childcare vouchers / tax free childcare or included in Early Years funding 

Considerations

  • These costs are approximate and do not include specific details such as; sibling discount, bank holidays, additional services, meals and non food consumables.
  • This set of estimated fees is valid until 1 April 2027.
  • All of the AYR prices represented above stretched over 50 weeks of the year.
  • Nursery Fees are exempt from VAT
  • Brabyns also accepts Workplace Nursery Benefit and Childcare Vouchers.

Early Years Funding Information

If you’re a working parent, you may be able to get 30 hours of funded childcare a week if your child is aged 9 months to 4 years old.

At Brabyns we are able to stretch this funding for for All Year Round Nursery provision, with fewer hours over more weeks.

All 3 and 4-year-olds are entitled to 15 hours of free early education or childcare per week.

There are three terms in a year:

  • Autumn
  • Spring
  • Summer

See the tables below for information on when children become age eligible for the various entitlements: 

A child born on or between: Will be of eligible age for the 9 month old EYFE* from the start of term beginning in:
1 April and 30 June  April after turning 9 months old
1 July and 30 November  September after turning 9 months old
1 December and 31 March January after turning 9 months old

 

Child born on between: Will become eligible for 2 year old EYFE for Working Families* or 2 year old LA Issued EYFE** from the start of term beginning in: Will become eligible for Universal EYFE for 3 and 4 year olds and Extended EYFE for 3 and 4 year olds* from the start of term beginning in:
1 Jan – 

31 March

 April following their second birthday*  April following their third birthday
1 April – 31 August September following their second birthday* September following their third birthday

  • Dietary, medical and additional needs: Please share any relevant information during the admissions process so that we can ensure the best possible support for your child.
  • Early Years Funding: Families wishing to use funded childcare hours can discuss eligibility and funding arrangements with the admissions team.
  • Waiting lists: If a place is not immediately available, your child may be added to our waiting list and we will contact you as soon as a suitable place becomes available
