Food & Menus

Our Catering Team is headed up by Mrs Bailey, who has worked at Brabyns for over 10 years. She ensures that lunches at Brabyns are tasty, nutritious and a central point of the school day. Fundamental to our provision of fresh meals is the sourcing our meat, vegetables and fruit through local suppliers and to have the majority of our meals ‘home’ prepared and cooked on site.

The catering team’s attention to detail and knowledge of each and every pupil means that we can be in complete control of the amount of fat, sugar and salt in the recipes we use to prepare the meals for the Brabyns children. In addition, each day the children have access to bread, fruit, yoghurt and a salad bar.

The kitchen has a 5-star Food Hygiene rating, awarded by an annual unannounced Environmental Health visit.

The school provides daily vegetarian and vegan choices, as well as promoting meat free days too. We pride ourselves on the fact that all dietary requirements are catered for.

Menus run on a 4 weekly rota.
