What a fabulous way to end the Spring term and consolidate the children’s learning of the topic, ‘Animals and their Needs,’ by providing them with the opportunity to sculpt their very own, favourite creature. On an individual basis, the children worked with a member of staff, learning facts about their chosen animal, in addition to using the Chromebook to refer to the illustration. This activity helped them to enhance their motor skills, exercise their artistic flare and develop their imaginative skills even further. This work was influenced by The Blue Hippo Sculpture, which is displayed in the New York City Art Museum.
