The charity www.readforgood.org encourages children to read through its unique motivational approach, inspiring reluctant readers to give reading a go, and keen readers to read more widely.
This month Brabyns pupils will be reading everything and anything…. from comics to classics and audiobooks to blogs. All of the money they raise in sponsorship will help to provide a regular supply of brand-new books and a resident storyteller to every major children’s hospital in the UK.
We are also building in a little healthy competition; aiming to get our children reading for a grand total of 1000 hours (60,000 minutes) and asking them to send in photographs of them reading in unusual places. Keep an eye on our Brabyns Preparatory School socials for updates!
