Children, parents and staff at Brabyns have been celebrating Harvest by focusing on helping the local community.
The children from Nursery through to Year 6 donated essentials as part of their Harvest offering. They also spent time discussing the theological meaning of Harvest and the importance of highlighting food poverty during assemblies, committee meetings and PCSHE lessons in school.
At the end of the half term Mrs Carrasco and Brabyns’ school captains delivered their collection to ‘The Pantry’, Marple’s community foodbank. This invaluable community resource is run by an amazing team of volunteers from All Saints Church at their ‘All Connect’ hub in the town centre.
